An injection-molded plastic kit of the British medium artillery gun of four and a half inch caliber in the Mk.2 form, in 1:72. It is not a vehicle but a towed weapon, so the finished model is small and works best in a diorama paired with a tractor and a crew.
Medium guns of this class formed the artillery reserve of the Second World War, firing deeper into the rear than the field howitzers accompanying the infantry could reach. The weapon had a long barrel and a high muzzle velocity and was carried behind a tractor on a two-axle carriage with split trails. Once the position was taken up, these were opened out and dug into the ground to take the recoil.
The carriage has thin long parts, so glue the assembly on a flat board and let it cure before you move it. Clean the parting line off the barrel carefully, as it is the most exposed to view. Decide in advance whether you will build the model in the firing position with the trails opened or in the traveling position, because the seating of the trails differs accordingly. British artillery equipment takes earth pigments on the wheels and dust on the lower part of the carriage.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
