This is a set of waterslide decals in 1:72 scale from the Czech publisher DP Casper, devoted to the air raid on Brno on August 25, 1944. It is neither a model nor a kit: it is an accessory with markings, meant to be applied to a model already built and painted. The set covers the machines that took part in the action: American heavy bombers and their fighter escort as well as the German defenders of the Luftwaffe. Check the exact number of schemes and the particular assignment to individual machines against the instructions in the package; some DP Casper sets come out repeatedly as reissues.
In the closing stage of the Second World War, Allied raids were directed among other things at industrial and transport targets in Moravia. The raid on Brno on August 25, 1944 is one of those historical moments that the set recalls and makes it possible to work up in model form.
Give the model a gloss coat, dip the decal in lukewarm water for a few seconds, slide it into place and settle it with a decal softener so that it sits down into the detail. Once it has dried, take a matte or semi-gloss coat over it.
