This set from the SPACE range by the Czech manufacturer Eduard is used to detail the interior of a model of the Lockheed F-104J Starfighter in 1:72 scale. It combines 3D decals on a backing paper with steel photo-etched parts. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory for raising the fidelity of the cockpit. The target kit is Fine Molds.
The 3D decals faithfully capture the main and side instrument panels and other parts of the pilot area with relief and color. They are complemented by photo-etched steel seat belts, which hold their shape and look realistic.
Lift the panels off the moistened backing paper with tweezers and fix them to a clean, degreased surface with white PVA glue; do not use a decal softener. Anneal the steel belts gently before bending them and glue them with super glue. A matte coat will even out the surface and knock back the shine.
This is a modeling accessory. The Fine Molds base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
