The set contains two 3D printed resin figures of pilots of the two-seat F-105F and F-105G Thunderchief versions in a standing pose (type 1). The figures help set a model into scale and enliven a flight line scene; they are supplied unpainted.

The real subject

The Republic F-105 Thunderchief was an American supersonic fighter-bomber deployed above all in the Vietnam War. The two-seat F-105F version served for training and in combat, while the F-105G Wild Weasel version specialized in suppressing enemy air defenses. The crew wore flight suits, survival vests and helmets.

Building and painting tips

Separate the figures from the print supports, clean them up and wash them. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue. For painting use acrylic figure paints and pick out the details with a wash and dry brushing. Given the small scale, work with a fine brush and sufficient magnification.
