This is a 3D printed resin detail set of external drop tanks holding 1000 liters, with pylons, for the Grumman F-14 Tomcat carrier fighter in 1:72 scale from Reskit. It is not a kit and not a model of an aircraft but faithful replacement parts for the tanks the Tomcat carried under the fuselage to extend its range. The set includes both the early and the late version of the tanks.
The set replaces simplified plastic tanks with accurate 3D printed parts with faithful proportions and surface detail. The mounting pylons are included as well, so the resulting arrangement under the fuselage matches the real configuration of the F-14.
Wash the residue of uncured resin off the parts, cut the print supports off and clean the surfaces up; protect your airways when sanding resin. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Apply a primer before painting and spray the shades with an airbrush. In 1:72 scale work carefully because of the small dimensions of the parts.
This is a detail accessory, not a model of an aircraft. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
