This is a resin, 3D-printed replacement set of landing gear wheels in 1:72 scale from RESArm. The set replaces the plastic wheels from the box with more faithfully made resin parts with fine tread and hub detail. It is intended for models of the supersonic carrier fighter Grumman F-14A and F-14B Tomcat.
Replacement wheels are among the most rewarding landing gear upgrades: they offer sharper detail on the tire and the hub than injection-molded plastic can manage, and they are easy to paint and weather. They raise the realism of the landing gear with no need for extensive work.
First wash the parts in lukewarm water with a little detergent so that the residues of uncured print resin disappear. Cut the print supports off carefully and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Before painting, an acrylic primer is recommended, as it evens out the surface.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and without glue. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
