This photo-etched exterior set from the Czech maker Eduard refines the outer surface of the model of the Grumman F6F Hellcat carrier fighter in 1:72 scale. It is neither an aircraft kit nor a finished model but a set of fine metal parts that replace or complete the exterior details of a plastic kit, for example covers, flaps, panels and other features of the airframe.
The Grumman F6F Hellcat was an American carrier fighter of the Second World War period. It was used above all in the Pacific, where it became one of the most successful carrier machines of the US Navy. It was marked by a rugged structure, a powerful radial engine and heavy armament.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Shape the fine parts in a bending tool and degrease the metal before painting. An airbrush is recommended for an even coat, with a fine brush for touching in the edges.
The set holds photo-etched metal parts only. The base kit, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
