A plastic kit, Italeri FIAT CR.42 CN Falco, night fighter, in 1:72 scale. The Italian biplane of the Second World War in its night fighting form.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from the Italian maker Italeri captures the FIAT CR.42 Falco in the CN version (Caccia Notturna), that is in the form for night fighting. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. In the box you will find plastic parts, a clear part for the canopy and a decal sheet with several marking options for Italian as well as German machines.
The FIAT CR.42 Falco was an Italian single-seat fighter biplane of the end of the 1930s with fixed landing gear and an open cockpit. It was powered by a FIAT A.74 radial engine and was among the last biplanes put into combat in its day. The night CN variant was notable for extended exhausts that suppressed dazzle for the pilot and for underwing searchlights for night guidance.
A biplane calls for careful seating of the interplane struts and bracing between the wings; liquid cement for plastic and continuous checking of the geometry work well. The cockpit and the engine deserve attention, because they are clearly visible. Before the decals we recommend a gloss coat, and a flat finish at the end will then unify the surface. The model is rewarding for period Italian camouflage as well as darker night schemes.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
