Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Focke-Wulf Fw 190 D-9 fighter in 1:72 scale from IBG models. This release offers the markings of the Jagdgeschwader 301 (JG 301) unit. The box combines plastic parts with photo-etched sheet and a decal sheet. The D-9 version, nicknamed the Dora-9, differs from the earlier Fw 190s with a radial engine in its long nose, which came from the inverted V12 Junkers Jumo 213 engine.
The Fw 190 D-9 was the peak production version of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 fighter. The liquid-cooled inverted V12 Jumo 213 engine, with the characteristic lengthened forward fuselage, markedly improved performance at higher altitude. The Dora-9 was among the highest-performing German fighters of the end of the Second World War. Jagdgeschwader 301 was one of the units that committed the Fw 190 D-9 in the defense of the Reich's airspace against Allied bomber formations.
Glue the plastic parts with liquid cement for polystyrene and attach the fine photo-etched parts with super glue. Apply primer before painting; late German camouflage with mottling and RLM shades goes on well with an airbrush in layers. Leave the canopy and the clear parts until last so that they do not get dusty.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
