The Fokker Dr.I is the best-known German fighter of the First World War - the triplane that went down in history as the aircraft of the Red Baron, Manfred von Richthofen. It was powered by a rotary engine and, thanks to its three lifting surfaces, excelled in rate of climb and agility in close combat, though at the cost of a lower top speed. It was armed with a pair of synchronized machine guns and became a symbol of the fighter arm of its era.
This is a small and delicate model with thin parts, so use thin modeling cement for plastic and work patiently. Finish and paint the engine and the cockpit before you close up the fuselage. Triplanes have less external bracing than classic biplanes, but it is still worth suggesting the bracing wires with fine thread. Spray the base coat over a primer; the colorful period schemes suit both an airbrush and careful brushwork.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
