A resin figure, Gaucho No. 2, in 1:72 scale from the brand FLY, a maker of figures and diorama accessories. It is an unpainted printed figure for collectors and builders of scenes, not a toy and not a finished model. Gaucho No. 2 is the second of a pair of poses and completes the Gaucho No. 1 variant directly; together they make a livelier scene from the pampas.
A gaucho is a South American herdsman and horseman from the Argentine (and Uruguayan) pampas, the counterpart of the North American cowboy. He was a skilled rider working with cattle on the open grassy plains; his typical look includes a broad hat, a poncho, loose trousers (bombachas), a belt with a knife and a lasso or bolas. This figure captures the character in a different pose from variant No. 1.
Carefully separate the figure from the print supports and clean up the cut faces; in the small 1:72 scale go especially carefully because of the fine detail. Glue any parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), as ordinary cement for plastic does not hold on resin; protect your airways when sanding. Apply a primer before painting and paint with a brush in acrylic figure paints, bringing out the details with a fine brush or with a wash. A figure is not finished by building a model but by painting.
The figure is supplied unpainted and unassembled, in resin. Paints, brushes, a primer and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
