A resin, 3D-printed detail set from the maker Reskit in 1:72 scale. The package holds two GBU-15 guided glide bombs in the Big Wing version and one AN/AXQ-14 data link pod. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory of modern precision external stores, with the warhead and the tail surfaces as separate parts.
The GBU-15 is an American modular guided glide bomb with large lifting surfaces (Big Wing), following on from earlier guided bombs. Its remote control was handled by the AN/AXQ-14 data link pod, which the parent aircraft carried. This armament was used by machines such as the F-111, F-15E, F-16 or B-52.
Wash the print resin residue off the parts, cut off the print supports and sand with respiratory protection. Glue the fins, the warheads and the tail parts right home with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply primer, paint with an airbrush and bring out the legibility of the detail with a wash.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
