This is not an aircraft model but a resin detail set of external stores in 1:72 scale. The package contains four faithful replicas of the GBU-38 bomb in its thermally protected version. The resin castings reproduce the characteristic coarser texture of the protective coating, the tail guidance section and the fins.
The GBU-38 is a satellite-guided bomb from the JDAM family based on a 500 lb aerial bomb, fitted with a guidance kit with a tail control unit. The thermally protected version carries a surface layer that resists aerodynamic heating. Munitions of this type are standard armament on modern combat aircraft.
Wash the parts to remove the mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Four pieces make it possible to fill several pylons realistically.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
