An injection-molded plastic set of three German guns, the German Guns Set, in 1:72 scale from Italeri. This is not a model of a single vehicle but a collection of artillery weapons to fill out dioramas and scenes. The set contains three pieces: the 3.7cm Pak anti-tank gun, the long 7.5cm Pak 40 anti-tank gun and the 2cm Flakvierling 38 quadruple anti-aircraft gun. The box includes plastic parts and decals.
The set brings together three typical weapons of the German army of the Second World War. The light 3.7cm gun was the standard anti-tank weapon at the start of the war, but it soon fell short against heavier armor. It was replaced by the powerful 7.5cm Pak 40, one of the most effective anti-tank guns of the war. The quadruple 2cm Flakvierling 38 was used against low-flying aircraft and, in ground combat, against light targets. Together they illustrate infantry and anti-aircraft fire support well.
Separate the small gun parts from the sprues carefully and glue them with thin modeling cement for plastic; line the barrels and carriages up so that they stand straight. Apply a primer before painting and lay the paint down with an airbrush or a brush in thin coats. Bring out the metal parts with light drybrushing, use a dark wash to pick out the details of the carriages, and add pigments for a convincing hint of dust and mud in the firing position.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
