A highly detailed plastic kit of the German Pz.Kpfw. I Ausf. F light tank, the early production version, in 1:72 scale from the Flyhawk brand. The set combines injection-molded plastic with extra parts, a photo-etched fret, turned metal parts and thread for the tow cables, and waterslide decals with markings complete it. Thanks to the finely made molds the model offers rich detail even in a small scale.
The Pz.Kpfw. I Ausf. F (VK18.01) was a heavily armored light tank developed at the start of the Second World War as an infantry escort vehicle. Unlike the early Panzer I models it received substantially thicker armor and a reworked running gear with large road wheels. Only a few dozen were built, and they saw service on the Eastern Front as well as in the rear.
We recommend assembling and aligning the running gear before you close the hull. Glue the plastic parts with liquid modeling cement and the photo-etched and metal parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a primer before painting, build the color base with an airbrush and deepen the weathering with dark washes and pigments for mud and dust effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
