Revell 1:72 German Submarine Type VII C/41 is a large injection-molded plastic kit of a German Second World War submarine.
Responsibility details are not available.
A large injection-molded plastic kit of the German Type VII C/41 submarine in 1:72 scale from Revell. It is a big and demanding model with hundreds of parts that faithfully captures the shape of the hull, the conning tower and the armament. Depending on the particular edition the package may also hold materials beyond the plastic; go by the instructions included for the exact contents.
The Type VII was the main and most numerous German submarine of the Second World War; the VII C/41 version had a strengthened pressure hull for a greater diving depth. These submarines operated above all in the Atlantic, in the Battle of the Atlantic. The only surviving Type VII submarine is in fact a VII C/41 boat, preserved as a memorial.
On a large submarine model, take care to glue the hull halves together cleanly and to clean up the seam along its length. Consider whether you are building the full-hull version or a waterline one. An airbrush is ideal for painting; a distinction between the bottom and the sides of the hull is typical. The details of the deck, the tower and the armament will stand out once a wash is run into the recesses and a light patina is added.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
