This kit of the Kamov Ka-52 helicopter (and the modernized Ka-52M version) in 1:72 scale is a release from Quinta that combines injection-molded plastic parts with 3D-printed details from Quinta's own production. The Kamov Ka-52, NATO reporting name Hokum-B and nicknamed Alligator, is a Russian attack helicopter with a distinctive pair of contra-rotating coaxial rotors, which means it needs no tail rotor for yaw control. It carries a two-man crew seated side by side and can be fitted with a wide range of guided and unguided rockets. The Ka-52M version is a modernization with upgraded avionics and armament.
Glue the plastic parts with liquid plastic cement; carefully separate the fine 3D-printed parts from their supports and glue them with cyanoacrylate (super glue). Assemble the coaxial rotors and the underwing armament separately. Finish the cockpit and interior before closing the fuselage, apply a primer and paint with an airbrush, and highlight the panel lines with a wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints, and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
