FineMolds 1:72 Kawasaki Ki-100-I Tony (Fast Back) is a plastic kit of the Japanese fighter of the end of the Second World War in the raised-spine fuselage form, in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the Japanese maker FineMolds depicts the Japanese Kawasaki Ki-100-I fighter in the Fast Back variant with a raised fuselage spine. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted, with a decal sheet for machines of the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force.
The Ki-100 came about by combining the airframe of the Ki-61 Hien with a radial engine and was among the best Japanese fighters of the close of the war. It excelled in agility and reliability and was deployed among other things against high-altitude raids by B-29 bombers and against Allied fighters. The Fast Back variant has the original taller fuselage spine behind the cockpit.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and finish the cockpit before closing the fuselage. Japanese machines appeared in natural metal as well as in green-gray camouflage; spray a gloss coat before the decals and unify the finished model with a flat coat and light weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
