MARS 1:72 Lithuanian-Russian medium infantry of the first half of the 15th century is a set of forty-eight figures.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of plastic figures in 1:72 scale from MARS Model. The box holds forty-eight figures in various poses, and the height of a figure is roughly twenty-four millimeters. The figures are unpainted and come on sprues. The subject is the infantry of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and of the Russian principalities of the first half of the fifteenth century, that is an army from the time of the great battles between Lithuania, Poland and the Teutonic Order.
In Lithuanian and Russian armies the medium infantry formed the transition between light missile troops and armored fighters. It wore quilted or partly mail clothing, carried a pavise or a smaller shield and fought with spear, axe and sword. At the battle of Grunwald in 1410 the Lithuanian contingents made up the right wing of the allied army, and their withdrawal, whether feigned or real, is among the most debated moments of that battle.
Wash the figures in lukewarm water with detergent, dry them and spray them with a flexible primer. A medieval formation will take variety: colored tunics and shields with simple devices divide the troop into groups. Handle mail armor with a dark base and a dry brush. Unify the bases with a single shade of grass, and a formation of forty-eight pieces then holds together.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
