This is not an aircraft model but a set of colored three-dimensional decals for the cockpit interior. The box states that they are cut for the Hobby 2000 and Hasegawa kits. The Ukrainian brand Kelik prints the decals with relief onto a carrier sheet, so once applied, the instrument panel and the side panels show raised detail as well as colors that would be hard to paint in this scale.
The Morane-Saulnier M.S.406 was the most numerous fighter of the French Air Force at the start of the Second World War. It was powered by the V12 Hispano-Suiza 12Y engine, and its main armament was a 20 mm cannon firing through the hollow propeller shaft, backed up by machine guns in the wing. Against the German Bf 109E it was slower and weaker, yet it was used in large numbers in the fighting of 1940. The machines also reached other users, among them Finland, where they were rebuilt into a more powerful version.
Spray the interior parts in the base cockpit color first and let them dry completely, because a decal will not seat on paint that is not fully dry. Degrease the surfaces before applying. Carry the decals with tweezers and apply pressure with a cotton swab from the center toward the edges, so that no air bubble is left. Read the application procedure in the enclosed instructions, because it differs between the individual types of decal. Do not give the finished interior a gloss clear coat; a matte surface looks more convincing.
The set holds decals only. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
