HäT 1:72 Napoleonic Swedish Cavalry is a large cavalry set: twenty-seven figures and twenty-seven horses.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of plastic figures in 1:72 scale from the brand HäT. The package contains twenty-seven riders in nine poses and twenty-seven horses to go with them, fifty-four parts of basic construction in all. Against the usual cavalry sets of this range, which tend to have twelve riders, this is a markedly larger whole. The figures are unpainted and the rider has to be seated in the saddle.
During the Napoleonic wars Sweden gradually came over to the coalition and in 1813 intervened in the fighting in northern Germany. The Swedish mounted arm included hussars, dragoons and light cavalry, and a long tradition of mounted fighting reached back as far as the armies of the seventeenth century. In the campaigns of 1813 and 1814 it served as the reconnaissance and screening element of the northern army.
Wash the plastic in lukewarm water with a detergent, dry it and spray it with a flexible primer. Nine poses is a lot, so sort the figures first and decide which of them make up one unit. Seat the riders in the saddle only once the horse is painted. Swedish blue with yellow elements is a striking combination, but lay the yellow over a light undercoat or it will show through. Bring the horses together into two shades and leave the variety to the uniforms.
The figures are supplied unpainted and unassembled. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
