An aftermarket correction set from the Hungarian firm SBS Model, not a kit. It contains a resin replacement nose and a turned brass pitot for models of the Panavia Tornado combat aircraft in the IDS, ECR and GR.1 versions in 1:72 scale. The aim is to correct the shape of the forward fuselage to a more faithful profile and to add the fine instrument probe, which never comes out as cleanly in plastic.
The Panavia Tornado is a European twin-engine combat aircraft with a variable-geometry wing, developed jointly by several countries. The IDS and GR.1 versions served as strike and reconnaissance machines, the ECR as a specialized type for the suppression of enemy air defenses. The shape of the nose is decisive for recognizing the type.
Wash the resin nose free of mold release agent, cut off the casting block and fit the surface to the fuselage; it is bonded with super glue. The turned pitot is delicate, so fit it right at the end so that it does not snap off. Fill the joints and sand them down with your airways protected.
The accessory is supplied as unpainted resin and metal parts. Paints, glue and the kit are not included in the package.
