HäT 1:72 Prussian Volunteer Jager is a set of forty-eight figures of Prussian Jäger and volunteer Jäger.
Responsibility details are not available.
Plastic figures in 1:72 scale from the brand HäT. The package contains forty-eight figures in eight poses. The selection of poses is built for dispersed fighting: riflemen in various stages of loading and aiming predominate, supplemented by several support figures from which pairs can be formed. The figures are unpainted and are supplied molded in one piece.
The volunteer Jäger were a peculiarity of the Prussian army of the Wars of Liberation. They were units made up of men who paid for their own equipment and weapons, often from the middle class and the student body. They wore dark green coats, fought in a dispersed formation and were attached in detachments to the line and reserve regiments. Their role lay in fighting out in front, in skirmishing and in screening the advance of the main line.
Wash the plastic, dry it and give it a flexible primer. Mix the dark green cloth so that it does not fall into black: add a little ocher and lighten the result on the raised areas. Place the riflemen in pairs on common bases; the formation then looks natural in dispersed fighting. Pick out small items such as pouches and powder horns in a different shade, so that they separate from the uniform.
The figures are supplied unpainted and unassembled. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
