Responsibility details are not available.
A set of plastic figures in 1:72 scale from the brand HäT. The package contains forty-eight figures in eight poses, supplied unpainted on sprues. The set belongs to the biblical branch of the range and complements the Egyptian, Assyrian and Sumerian formations from the same maker, against whom the Sea Peoples stand in gaming and on a diorama.
Sea Peoples is the collective name for the groups that attacked the eastern Mediterranean at the turn of the thirteenth and twelfth centuries BC. Egyptian sources mention them under Ramesses III, who repelled their assault in both a land and a naval battle. A characteristic mark of some of the groups was a helmet with a fan of feathers, a round shield and a pair of javelins. Their arrival is linked with the fall of the Hittite empire and the collapse of the whole region.
Wash the figures, dry them and give them a flexible primer. The fans of feathers on the helmets are thin, so do not rest them against a knife while cleaning off flash. Bronze Age dress keeps to natural tones; white and beige with a colored border is a credible choice. Leave the round shields separate if the molding allows, as a pattern is easier to paint on them. Handle the metal parts in a dark bronze rather than steel, as iron was not yet in common use at that time.
The figures are supplied unpainted and unassembled. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
