HäT 8115 Polish infantry of the Second World War is an extensive set of plastic figures in 1:72 with ninety-six figures in fourteen poses.
Responsibility details are not available.
This HäT figure set in 1:72 scale represents Polish infantry from the start of the Second World War. The box contains ninety-six figures in fourteen poses, so it is enough for a whole company, heavy weapon crews included. Besides riflemen the set contains mortar and heavy machine gun crews, and the machine gun comes with a mount it can be seated on.
The Polish infantry regiments entered the September campaign of 1939 in a field uniform with a characteristic helmet and in full field kit, a rolled blanket on the pack included, which is clearly visible on the figures. The armament consisted of bolt-action rifles, light machine guns with a bipod, heavy machine guns on a wheeled or tripod mount and light mortars for company support. It was a trained and determined army, but spread along a long border and with no chance of making up the numerical and technical superiority of its opponent.
Before painting, wash the figures in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry perfectly. With this number of figures it pays to work in waves: first undercoat the whole batch, then lay the uniforms in uniformly, and only at the end add the faces, the straps and the weapons. A darker glaze run into the folds will give the figures depth without the labor of shading every figure separately.
The figures are supplied unpainted. Paints, glue and a work mat are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
