The real subject

Bundeswehr is the name of the armed forces of the Federal Republic of Germany. Aircraft in their colors are among the rewarding modeling subjects: they carry restrained camouflage finishes, bold national insignia and legible unit codes, so a finished model looks good even without complicated markings. The 1:72 scale is the most widespread for them, the models take up little room on a shelf and can be built in whole rows.

What the set contains

A gift package of plastic aircraft kits in 1:72 scale. Paints are included as well, so building can start without further buying. Which types of aircraft the package holds and how many there are is given in the manufacturer's instructions; you will also find the recommended shades there. The models are supplied unassembled and unpainted.

Building and painting tips

• Before you start gluing, go through the whole of the instructions and sort the parts out in advance.
• Separate the parts with side cutters and sand the cut afterwards; do not break them off by hand.
• Stir the paints thoroughly before use and apply them in thin coats.
• Dose the glue sparingly; the surplus is squeezed into the seam and marks the surface.
• Glue the glazing on only after the fuselage has been painted; you will save yourself the masking.

For beginning modelers and as a gift, because one package holds both the kits and the paints. It will also serve more experienced builders who collect the equipment of the German armed forces and want several types in a uniform scale. Tools, that is cutters, abrasive paper and a brush, are not included, unless stated otherwise.
