A plastic kit of the iconic BMW R nineT motorcycle in 1:9 scale. This is the pre-colored version with a snap-fit system, so the parts come colored from the factory and the model can be assembled without glue and without painting. The package contains chrome-plated parts (for example the wheel spokes, the headlight bowl and the front section of the exhaust), elements in a metallic finish such as the tank and the engine cylinders, vinyl upholstery for the seat and photo-etched parts including pre-colored ones.
The BMW R nineT is a roadster in cafe racer style, introduced to mark the 90th anniversary of BMW Motorrad. It takes up classic elements such as a tube (trellis) frame, a pair of dials and the finned covers of the air-cooled boxer. It is one of the modern but deliberately retro-flavored machines.
The model is built as snap-fit, the parts fit into one another and glue is usually unnecessary; for strength, selected joints can be spot-secured with modeling cement. The front and rear shock absorbers and the steering damper are movable. The model is prepared to be built either as a single-seat or a two-seat version. Even on a pre-colored edition, picking the details out gently and fine-tuning the gloss of the finish will help.
The model is supplied unassembled. Thanks to the pre-colored parts and the snap-fit system neither glue nor paints are necessary; they are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
