A pink matte shade from the Mecha Color line, built for models of robots and science-fiction equipment. A dropper bottle, work by brush and by airbrush alike.
Responsibility details are not available.
Mecha Color came about for one particular field: kits of robots, science-fiction machines and figures from that area. The shades of the line are therefore pitched according to the color schemes that really do appear on such models, and pink among them is no extravagance. It turns up on secondary panels, on unit markings and on machines whose subject works with a strong color combination.
The pink here has a matte surface. That matters for this class of models, because a flat matte finish does not bring out the small imperfections of a surface the way gloss does, and at the same time it readily takes later shading and edge highlighting.
The paint comes in a dropper bottle, so it is dispensed drop by drop and you do not have to open the whole container every time. For a brush it is thinned minimally, for a nozzle somewhat more; try the consistency on an offcut each time, because with matte paints the difference between a thick and an overly thin mix shows at once.
If you are planning decals, a matte ground does not suit them, as silvery bubbles form under the edge of the sheet. The procedure is therefore the opposite of what it might seem: first a gloss intermediate coat, decals onto it, and only at the end a matte varnish that brings the whole model back to matte.
The shade goes well with the other paints of the same line, so you can mix your own lighter and darker tone for shading the panels. Write the ratio down, or a later repair to a chipped spot will not match once it is dry.
