A lightening tone from the Mecha Color line. A light green for the upper surfaces, for modulation and for highlighting the edges of larger parts.

Version 69.025 belongs among the lightening shades of the palette for robots. On its own it is usable as the top color of light covers and secondary parts, but it does its greatest service in modulation: sprayed from above over a darker green, it imitates the fall of daylight and gives a large machine the volume that a uniform finish would lose.
The procedure is simple and forgiving. First the whole part is evened out with the darker green, then the airbrush is tilted roughly forty-five degrees from above and the lighter tone is laid only on the surfaces turned toward the sky. The transition must not be sharp, so you work at very low pressure and in many light passes. Finally both layers are tied together with a thin veil of the original darker color, which softens the difference.
The second common role of this shade is work with almost no paint on the brush. The loaded remainder is wiped off into a cloth and drawn across the sharp edges and rivets; it catches only on the raised spots and the model thereby gains a worn but still clean appearance. The method works best on a surface that is genuinely matte, because on gloss a light trace would slide and not hold.
