An orange fluorescent paint, Mecha Color, the sibling of the yellow shade from the same four. A matte acrylic, 17 ml, for an airbrush and a brush alike.
Responsibility details are not available.
Inside the Mecha Color line four shades with a fluorescent pigment stand side by side under the numbers 69.054 to 69.057. This one carries the number 69.055 and is the orange of them. Orange has a special position in this group: it looks warmer than the yellow, but unlike the magenta and the green it keeps its legibility even on a small area and under ordinary lighting.
Where attention has to be drawn, orange is what is reached for. On walking machines and vehicles it tends to be on the ends of arms and manipulators, on the edges of ramps, on drive covers and as the fill of warning hatching. The second group is translucent features: sensor lenses, tail lights, the hot parts of nozzles. On dioramas it helps where the eye is meant to find the focus of a scene at once.
A pigment of this type is not very covering, so a great deal depends on what is beneath it. A white ground draws the glow out in full, a light gray one moderates it, a dark one kills it. Apply it thinly several times rather than heavily once. The paint passes through an airbrush without adjustment, and it works well by brush too, only it is advisable to lay the strokes side by side quickly, before the coat becomes tacky. The dried surface is matte.
The bottle holds 17 milliliters of paint and the cap is a dropper. The thinner is water, or else an acrylic thinner from the same manufacturer. The settled pigment has to be stirred up before work, or the shade will come out weaker than it should be.
