Revell Aqua Color 752 Clear Blue (Blau)

A water-thinnable acrylic paint from the Revell Aqua Color range in an 18 ml bottle. It is a transparent tinting paint with a gloss surface: it colors the base blue but does not cover it. The binder is acrylic, it is thinned with water or with Aqua Color Mix, and it is practically free of odor and of organic solvents.

What it is and what it is not

• It is a clear blue glaze for tinting, for imitating glass, for position lights, for coloring gloss surfaces and for similar effects.
• It is not an opaque blue for an aircraft skin or for large areas, as the base shows through it.

Use

• Apply in thin coats; the depth builds up with the number of coats.
• It looks best on a smooth, ideally gloss base.
• It is dry to the touch in about an hour and fully dry in 2 to 3 hours; it is thinned with water, for an airbrush by up to 20 to 25 percent.

For modelers who need a tinting effect, clear colored lights or coloring of transparent parts. Anyone looking for a fully opaque blue should reach for a standard opaque paint.
