Colored leaves, grade 3, autumn oak from Titans Hobby: a loose material for foliage on trees and shrubs on dioramas.
Responsibility details are not available.
Leaves are the material that turns a tree into a tree. A bare armature of wire or natural twigs looks like a winter skeleton without them. This material is grade 3 in coarseness and in the shade of autumn oak, that is a subdued brown with a golden cast. The loose particles are applied into glue and can also be used as fallen leaves on the ground, which tends to be the most rewarding detail of a whole scene.
First coat the tree armature with PVA glue and either sprinkle the leaves onto it or dip it into the material. Do not put the leaves on evenly: the crown should have gaps through which the sky shows, otherwise it looks like a green or brown balloon. An autumn tree is moreover not one color, so mix two or three shades. On the ground under the tree leave the layer thicker at the trunk and thinner further away. Grade 3 coarseness matches smaller scales according to the manufacturer, where larger particles would look unnatural.
The material is supplied loose, for further work. Glue and a tree armature are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
