Mineshima L-10 drill bit 0.5 mm is a single modeling drill bit for a hand chuck, for plastic and metal.
Responsibility details are not available.
A single drill bit from the Japanese brand Mineshima, half a millimeter in diameter. The L-10 line is conceived as a way of filling out a hand chuck, that is, a pin vise, where the modeler buys individual diameters according to what is needed at the time. The manufacturer offers the line from two tenths of a millimeter to three and two tenths of a millimeter and states it for plastic and for metal.
Half a millimeter is a thin bit and breaks easily, so guide it at a right angle and without prying to the sides. Work slowly and rather by hand in a chuck than in a power tool, where at higher speeds the plastic melts and wraps around the cutting edge. Mark the spot in advance with the point of a needle or a knife, or the bit will slide across the smooth surface. Pull the drilled material out as you go and do not let it stick in the hole.
For modelers who detail kits with wire and metal accessories, and for anyone filling out a hand chuck with individual diameters. Half a millimeter is at the same time a typical size for holes into which stretched line or thin brass wire is fitted.
The tool has a sharp cutting edge and a thin body. Store it out of the reach of children and protect your eyes from a flying fragment while drilling.
