A collection of period racing photographs of the Peugeot car from the twenty-four hours of Le Mans is a picture publication, not a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A picture publication from a range built on period photographs taken directly at the races. It is not a kit and not building instructions. The publication is devoted to the car of the Peugeot Talbot Sport works team in the twenty-four hour race at Le Mans.
A photograph of a car in a museum shows a machine polished and often rebuilt according to how it has survived. A period shot from a race, by contrast, catches the car as it really ran: with dirt on the fenders, with lettering taped over, with damage from contact and with fittings that changed during the weekend. For a modeler who wants to build a particular machine from a particular race, it is the only reliable source.
The works team of the French marque returned to endurance racing at the turn of the eighties and nineties with a prototype meant to win at Le Mans itself. The car went through several stages of development and its later form did indeed reach the top step. Period shots from the circuit show the machine in racing use, that is in a form a museum exhibit of today cannot offer.
