Sanding pads on a carrier of soft EVA foam. The foam bends to the shape of the part, so the abrasive reaches a rounded surface, the transition from fuselage to wing or a concave corner as well, where a hard sanding block only grazes the edges. The pad can be cut with scissors into a smaller piece or a strip to get into tight places. The 600 grit is among the fine steps and is used for finishing a surface, not for coarse removal.

Use

• smoothing the marks left after gate residue and mold parting seams have been taken off
• sanding over-applied putty down flush with the surrounding plastic
• leveling the surface before a base coat is applied
• gently dulling a gloss finish before the next spray coat

How to work with the sponges

The best results come from wet sanding: damp the pad and the part with water and a drop of detergent, and the sanding dust then does not settle between the grains and the surface stays smooth. Press lightly and check the surface against the light, as small scratches show sooner at an acute angle than head on. After work, rinse the sponge and let it dry.
