A pure red from the water thinnable acrylic range, a bottle of 10 ml. It handles the brush as well as the airbrush and is thinned with water or with the thinner of the same range.
Responsibility details are not available.
A saturated red of the kind that warning stripes, fire extinguishers, markings of hazardous spots and lettering on equipment call for. It is not a shade tied to a particular army or period, so it suits a vehicle, a figure, a car model and diorama accessories equally well.
The paint is based on an acrylic binder thinnable with water. That brings less smell while working, easy cleaning of the tools right after finishing and the option of working at a desk in a room you live in. The price of that convenience is longer curing. The coat is dry to the touch quickly, but it reaches full strength only after a longer time, so do not rush into masking.
Red pigments are among the worst covering ones of all. Over dark plastic, do not be surprised if the area is still uneven after the second coat. A white or light pink base helps, and over it the paint lights up after two thin coats. Laying it on thick is a dead end, because a heavy coat fills the details and stays blotchy anyway.
For the brush the paint needs practically no thinning, and just a drop helps the strokes flow together. For the airbrush it is thinned to roughly the consistency of milk. Stir the contents of the bottle properly before loading, otherwise the settled pigment stays at the bottom and the shade comes out paler than it should. The paint can be mixed without trouble with the other shades of the same technology, so a darker wine red or a brighter orange comes out of it easily. Once the work is done, flush your tools before the residue dries.
