Inspiration Game Color Set + Brushes

A package you can start from nothing with

Anyone taking up figures runs into two obstacles at once: he lacks enough shades to manage skin, metal, cloth and the leather of armor, and he lacks brushes that will hold a point. This package solves both at once, because it combines a wide palette from a line built directly for figures with brushes in a single case. The scope matches the equipping of a workshop rather than a single project.

The route a figure takes

First comes the base coat, laid in thin strokes so that the relief is not lost. Then the shadows are drawn out with a darker tone into the hollows and the highlights are laid on the raised edges: on a face, on the nose and the cheekbones, on armor, on the edges of the plates, on cloth, on the tops of the folds. Finally the small things are tuned, where it is the cleanness of the stroke that counts: eyes, buckles, blade edges. That is exactly why there are brushes of various sizes in the package, because you need at least three of them for one figure.

• Base coats of skin, cloth, metal and wood on a figure.
• Shading of the hollows and building the highlights on the edges.
• Details such as eyes, clasps, weapon edges or gemstones.
• The color areas of the base and the accessories around the figure.

Who it makes sense for

A package of this scope is worth it to someone who paints regularly and does not want to buy a bottle at a time, or as a complete gift for a beginning painter. Anyone who only needs to finish a part-painted group of figures will get by with a smaller themed set. The paints can be thinned and mixed with one another, so tones that are not physically in the package also arise on the palette.
