NGA-03 Acrysion Gundam Assemble Color (Base Color) - Yellow Matt

The color

A clean yellow in a flat finish from the Acrysion Gundam Assemble Color range. Within the range it stands among the base shades, that is, among the colors the look of the model itself is built from, not among the shades for shading and grime. A flat surface lets the shape of the part come through instead of reflections and is a grateful base both for edge highlighting and for a darker color in the recesses.

Where it is useful

On robot models yellow appears on chest parts, on joints, on the small areas around the nozzles and on warning stripes. Beyond them the same shade finds a use on the warning areas of vehicles, on machine components, on accessories for figures and on construction and handling machinery, where yellow is the basic factory color.

Application tips

• Yellow covers worst of all the shades; over a white or light gray base it comes out bright, over gray plastic it stays dirty.
• Lay down several thin coats and let them become tacky, the strength is built up gradually, not with one heavy coat.
• Choose the thinner the manufacturer supplies for the Acrysion range, another system will curdle the paint.
• Stir the paint before use, the pigment settles at the bottom of the container when left alone.
• Rather mask the boundary between the yellow and the neighboring color, because with yellow a transition is hard to put right.

For builders of robot models and for modelers of vehicles who need a flat yellow to lay down with an airbrush or a brush. The thinner, the primer and the clear coat are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
