A Titans Hobby pin vise with a non-slip handle for drills 0.3 to 3.4 mm in diameter.
Responsibility details are not available.
A hand chuck, known in modeling as a pin vise, that is, a tool into which a drill is clamped and used by hand. This version covers diameters from three tenths to three and four tenths of a millimeter, which in practice is the whole range a modeler needs, and the handle has a non-slip finish, so the tool does not slip even during longer work or when your hands are covered in paint.
Clamp the drill so it sticks out only as far as you need, as a long unsupported drill breaks easily. Guide the tool perpendicular and without levering sideways, and mark the spot in advance with the tip of a knife, or the drill will wander across a smooth surface. Hand drilling has a fundamental advantage over a powered tool: the plastic does not melt and ball up on the cutting edge, because no heat is generated. Pull the drilled material out as you go. For larger diameters, pre-drill with a thinner drill.
For modelers who detail kits with wire and metal accessories, for builders of lit dioramas and for anyone who needs to drill precisely and at small diameters.
The tool is used with sharp drills. Drills are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise. Store the pin vise out of the reach of children and protect your eyes when drilling.
