The Skoda Fabia RS Rally2 is a competition car built on the basis of the fourth generation of the Fabia and presented in 2022. It follows a long line of Mlada Boleslav competition cars and runs in the Rally2 category, the class that forms the backbone of the entry lists of national and championship rallies. The category prescribes all-wheel drive and a turbocharged four-cylinder engine of 1.6 liters, so that cars of different makes are close in power and it is the work of the crew and the setup that decide.
The model is reduced in a ratio of 1:43, the classic collector's scale: the car fits into an ordinary display case and yet carries a decent amount of detail. The finish is white, so the shape of the body and the aerodynamic additions, which are harder to read under a bright livery, come out on the model.
Models in this scale take little handling: a polished surface picks up fingerprints quickly and the small additions are fragile. Take hold of the model by the chassis, not by the mirrors or the wing. Sweep dust off with a soft brush rather than a cloth, which breaks small parts off. Place the display case out of direct sunlight, or the white paint will yellow in time.
It is supplied as a finished model and needs neither assembly nor painting. You need no paints, glue or tools for it, unless stated otherwise.
