A 1:72 decal sheet covering Bristol Beaufighter Mk.IF and Mk.VIF aircraft flown by Czechoslovak airmen in Royal Air Force squadrons.
Responsibility details are not available.
After the fall of France, hundreds of Czechoslovak pilots, navigators and radio operators reached Britain, and some of them went into night fighting. That work had its own rules: the target was found on instructions from an operator watching a screen, navigation relied on ground radio stations, and the heavy twin-engine aircraft had to be held in a turn over a blacked-out landscape. Beaufighters with Czechoslovak crews served mainly with the night squadrons defending the British Isles.
Both designations belong to the night fighter version. The earlier variant used early-production Hercules radial engines, while the later one received a more powerful engine with better performance at altitude and an improved radar installation. Externally, the two differ mainly in nose, exhaust and antenna details, so choosing the right kit does matter.
We recommend first testing one edge marking to check how the film behaves. Cut out the piece, soak it briefly, place it on a moistened glossy surface, and slide it into position with a soft-tipped applicator. Blot excess water with a piece of tissue held at the side, not by wiping across the marking. Store the rest of the sheet away from moisture and light, or the carrier film will become brittle.
The aircraft kit and paints must be purchased separately.
