A finished collector's model of the French Dassault Mirage IIIC fighter in 1:72 scale, in the markings of aircraft number 31 of the EC 2/10 squadron. The model is cast in metal with additional plastic parts, painted and marked, so it is neither built nor glued. It has engraved panel lines, an opening canopy with a worked-out interior and extended landing gear. A stand is included, on which the machine can also be displayed in a flying position.
The Mirage IIIC was the first production fighter version of the whole family, intended for interception. It had a delta wing with no horizontal tail, a single turbojet with an afterburner and, on some of the machines, an auxiliary rocket motor for a rapid climb to altitude. It was the interceptor role that gave the aircraft its shape: a fast climb and high speed mattered more than agility in a turning fight.
The metal casting is heavier than a plastic model, so stand the stand on a firm surface. Wipe the surface with a soft dry cloth; cleaning agents can damage the printed markings. Do not display the model in direct sunlight, as the colors and the lettering will fade. Handle the canopy carefully, as the hinge is the most stressed place on the model.
It is a finished painted model, not a kit. No glue or paints are needed.
