Responsibility details are not available.
A kit of the Swiss D-3801 fighter in 1:72 scale from RS Models. It is an injection-molded plastic model in short-run form with engraved panel lines and additional resin parts. The model is meant for more advanced modelers who are used to kits with finer moldings and a lesser degree of part location.
The D-3801 was a Swiss fighter derived from the French Morane-Saulnier M.S.406, or more precisely from the M.S.412 development branch. Switzerland built it under license and in its own works as well, with a more powerful Hispano-Suiza engine and a modified structure. The machine flew at the start of the 1940s and lasted in Swiss service for a number of years after the war, which made it one of the best-known domestic types of its era.
As with short-run kits, reckon on more careful clean-up of the parts and on dry fitting where needed. Wash the resin parts, separate them from the casting blocks and glue with cyanoacrylate glue; glue the plastic parts with cement for plastic. Finish the cockpit before the fuselage is closed. An airbrush, a gloss coat under the decals and a final matte coat to unify the finish suit the Swiss camouflage.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
