Valom 1:144 Breguet 14 vs. LVG C.VI (2+2 in 1) — a set of four injection-molded plastic kits of two First World War opponents from the Czech manufacturer.
Responsibility details are not available.
The 2+2 in 1 boxing from the Czech manufacturer Valom holds four injection-molded plastic kits in 1:144 scale — two of the French Breguet 14 and two of the German LVG C.VI reconnaissance biplane. In one box you can therefore set a pair of period opponents against each other and get four complete models at the same time.
The Breguet 14 was a French two-seat bomber and reconnaissance biplane of the end of the First World War, famous among other things for its extensive use of a metal (duralumin) structure, which made it one of the toughest machines of its day. The LVG C.VI was a German two-seat reconnaissance and observation biplane of the same era, widely committed in the closing part of the war. Both types represent opposite sides of the conflict around 1917 and 1918.
The small 1:144 scale puts a premium on clean work — cut the parts off carefully, clean them up with a fine file and glue them with thin plastic cement applied in a very small amount. Apply a primer before painting, cover in thin coats (ideally with an airbrush) and add the interplane struts and the bracing wires after period photographs. Small models come into their own with discreet emphasis on the panels and gentle weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
