Quiddich Field - Harry Potter, Tiny Adventures

A quidditch field from the world of Harry Potter

The subject of a quidditch field from the Tiny Adventures range, that is from the small scenes that fit on a shelf and between books. The real subject is the best-known sports ground of the wizarding world, as every reader and viewer knows it. It is a themed piece for display, not an accessory to another model.

The real subject

Quidditch is an invented sport from the Harry Potter books. It is played in the air on flying broomsticks, two teams face each other and points come through goal hoops raised on tall posts at both ends of the field. Several balls are in play at once: besides the Quaffle, which is used for scoring, Bludgers fly above the field and finally the Snitch, the catching of which ends the match. The field is therefore an oval area where almost nothing happens on the ground, and that is exactly what sets it apart from ordinary sports grounds.

Where it fits and how to keep it

• Stand it on a level surface where there is no risk of knocks or frequent handling.
• Sweep the dust off with a soft brush; a cloth catches on the protruding features.
• Do not expose the scene to direct sunlight, as colored areas fade in the light.
• Do not use thinners or spirit-based cleaners for cleaning.
• In a display case it benefits from side lighting, which draws out the shape of the surface and the raised features.

Who it is for

For fans of the wizarding world who are looking for a small piece for a display case or a gift with a theme that needs no explaining. The dimensions of the Tiny Adventures range reckon on the scene being placed even where there is no room for a large model.

Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
