Gunze Mr.Color Spray S014 Navy Blue (Semi Gloss)

A lacquer aerosol with a volume of 40 ml by the Japanese brand Gunze, the Mr.Color Spray range. Navy Blue is a saturated dark blue of the kind the US Navy used on carrier aircraft toward the end of the Second World War — the dark blue cast typical of the late overall blue scheme, the so-called sea blue. The surface dries to a semi-gloss that captures the service look of these machines well.

Use

• A spray for modelers without an airbrush — it sprays straight from the can, without thinning.
• Shake thoroughly for 1 to 2 minutes before spraying so that the pigment is mixed through evenly.
• Lay it down in thin coats from a distance of roughly 25 cm; more light coats hold better than one thick one.
• Spray in warm, dry conditions — damp air can create a white haze.
• Lacquer attacks bare plastic: spray delicate parts carefully, ideally over a primer.
