It is a lacquer, not an acrylic or an enamel - it creates a thin, firm and durable film with a semi-gloss surface that matches the real appearance of the skin of combat aircraft. The shade represents the dark green of the upper surfaces of aircraft of the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) built at the Nakajima factory.
Japanese aircraft factories mixed the same green a little differently each time. Nakajima green differs from Mitsubishi green - anyone building a particular naval machine from Nakajima production (fighters or torpedo bombers, for example) needs precisely this factory shade so that the model matches the real subject.
