A board of high-density foam measuring 350 x 250 mm and 3 mm thick. It belongs among materials for dioramas, that is among items from which you make the structure, the terrain or the base yourself. The name of the line refers to a wall, which matches what dense foam is most often used for: surfaces into which the structure of masonry, render or paving is scribed.
Dense foam can be cut with a sharp knife along a ruler and the surface is scribed into it with a blunt point or a graver. Cut in several light passes rather than one heavy one, otherwise the edge will buckle. Set out the joints in pencil first and only then press them in, because you are taking material away from the foam and cannot put it back. A thickness of 3 mm is the thinner of the two thicknesses offered and suits cladding over existing walls, paving, sidewalks and thin partitions. Reach for the thicker 4 mm variant where a wall is to be self-supporting or where you want deeper relief.
Not every glue and not every thinner gets on with foam; some attack or shrink it. Test both on an offcut: apply a drop of glue and a little paint, let them dry and only then work on the structure itself. Before painting, the surface is usually sealed with a unifying coat on which the paint holds evenly.
For builders of dioramas and display scenes in any scale and for anyone who wants to make a wall or terrain to measure instead of hunting for a ready-made part.
The model, figures, paints, glue and tools are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
