True Metallic Metal BASE - Radiant Yellow

Vallejo True Metallic Metal Base, Radiant Yellow (metallic acrylic paint)

A water-thinnable acrylic metallic paint from the True Metallic Metal range with very fine metal pigments and a realistic sheen at figure scale. The Radiant Yellow shade is a radiant metallic yellow with a golden character and this Base version is the opaque base tone. In the Base, Shade and Light system, Base covers the whole metal area as the undercoat on which the shading and lightening tones follow. The paint has high covering power and covers over both a black and a white undercoat, as a rule in one or two layers. It is non-toxic, odorless, thinned with water and supplied in an 18 ml dropper bottle.

Use

• Shake the bottle thoroughly before use so that the metallic pigment is mixed in.
• Apply with a brush over a smooth, well prepared base; it covers over both a black and a white undercoat.
• Use it as a radiant yellow base for gold and bright metal surfaces.
• Apply metallic paints rather at the end, they are harder to mask and to overspray.
• Once thinned with water it can also be sprayed with an airbrush; for spraying the range has a separate airbrush version.
