The damped military green Xpress Armor Green for armored equipment. In a single application it lays both the ground and the deepening of rivets, joints and grilles.
Responsibility details are not available.
Armor Green is a sober military green aimed at armored vehicles, artillery and trucks. The surface of such a model is rewarding from a modeling point of view: it has rivets, welds, hatch catches, grilles over the engine and hundreds of small edges a fluid paint settles into and turns straight away into legible articulation.
The usual route to the same appearance has three stages and two risks. First the base green is sprayed, then a dark wash is drawn over the whole model, which has to be wiped off the open areas with a cloth or a cotton swab, and finally the edges are brightened. The first risk lies in the wash being wiped off unevenly and streaks being left on the side of the hull. The second risk is one of timing: the wash has to be left to dry properly, or what was meant to stay in the joints is torn out too. Here the area and the joint are dealt with at once and the cloth is unnecessary.
Larger parts, for example a whole side of a hull, are best covered with one wide brush and quickly. The road wheels and the individual track links will be managed by the paint itself; it is enough to dip them and let them drain. Once dry the model is ready for dust and mud pigments, which hold well on a semi-matte surface. Anyone planning decals should varnish the area to a gloss before them, so that air bubbles do not settle under them.
